Procedure

  1. Open the hood. Pull the hood release on the left side of the driver’s footwell. Unlock the hood latch and pull the hood up. Put the hood strut to hold the hood up.The hood latch of the 2011 Honda Fit.

  2. Locate the air filter housing on the right side of the engine.The Air Filter Housing of the 2011 Honda Fit.
  3. Disconnect the mass airflow sensor by pushing the clip and pulling it out from the housing.Disconnecting the mass airflow sensor.
  4. Unlock the clips on the top side and bottom side of the air filter housing.Unlocking the clips holding the cover of the air filter.
  5. Remove the cover of the air filter.Removing the cover of the air filter.
  6. Pull the air filter out of the housing.Removing the air filter out from the housing.
  7. Clean leaves and dirt at the bottom of the housing using a vacuum.Removing the debris and dirt on the air filter housing.
  8. Get the new air filter and place it into the air filter housing. Place it in the same direction as the old ones. Installing the new air filter of the 2011 Honda Fit.
  9. Put the cover back into the air filter housing.Reinstalling the cover of the air filter.
  10. Lock the clips and reconnect the mass airflow sensor.Locking the cover of the air filter housing.
