My car was stalling then I changed plugs ,oil ,crank sensor and fuel filter I want to know if I change crankshaft position sensor do I also need need to change the camshaft sensor ?
I did some research about these 2 sensors crank & cam sensors. If you find any error with you scanner tool then you must change, but if they are working properly there is no need to touch them.
Here is a short description and symptoms....
Symptoms of a failing cam or crank sensor are generally the same, and include poor acceleration and gas mileage, misfires, rough idle, stalling, and a check engine light. When the camshaft position sensor fails completely, the engine will not start or will shut off if it fails during operation. If the crankshaft position sensor fails, the engine may not start, or will have excessive vibration if it operates. Common error codes are P0340 for camshaft sensor, and P0335 for crank sensor.
What codes are present?
either check the codes first.
