2007 Mercedes S550 722.9 transmission valve body removal
Quote from Ati Kovi on Sep 17, 2023, 11:06 amSaw your video on the subject that made it look so easy, but the conductor plate connector is stuck in the transmission case when I try to drop the valve body. I'm trying to press it down from above with my fingers but it won't budge. There isn't much room for a pry bar either. Any other suggestions so I don't break it off?

Quote from YOUCANIC Tech Support on Sep 26, 2023, 9:35 amThank you for reaching out, and we understand the challenge you're facing with the conductor plate connector on your transmission. It can indeed be a delicate task and here are some suggestions to aid in safely navigating this process:
- Make sure all bolts are removed.
- Before applying force, inspect the area for any clips, bolts, or retainer mechanisms that might be holding the connector in place. Sometimes, there could be a securing element that requires disengagement first.
- Slightly wiggle the connector side to side as you apply downward pressure. Often a small amount of movement can free up a stuck connector.
- Sometimes, the connector might be seated very firmly due to heat expansion or debris. Apply gentle, but firm pressure while attempting to dislodge the connector. It may take a bit of persistence.
- If all else fails, it might be wise to seek the assistance of a professional mechanic who has experience with transmission work and may have specialized tools to address such issues without causing damage.
