Electric Vehicle (EV) refers to a mode of transport that is powered by electricity. Conventional vehicles use gasoline or diesel engines, but electric cars and trucks use an electric motor for propulsion powered by batteries or a fuel cell.  The battery of an electric vehicle is a rechargeable battery and typically lithium-ion batteries. Traction batteries are specifically designed with a high ampere-hour capacity.
