Lane Watch is a camera that will show the blind spot on the right side of the vehicle. The blind spot can be seen on the monitor of the vehicle.
- A blind spot in a vehicle refers to the area around a vehicle that cannot be directly seen by the driver while at the controls under certain conditions. The driver visibility is at the maximum distance wherein the driver can see and identify objects around the vehicle. Visibility is primarily depending on weather conditions. The parts of a vehicle that influence visibility include the windshield, dashboard, and pillars.
- There are other causes that may prevent a manufacturer from maximizing visibility. These include considering safety, such as narrower pillars cannot be made string as easily as thicker pillars and size depending on aerodynamics;
- Side radar systems offer better performance and also warn of fast-approaching vehicles entering the blind spot.
