Sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG) refers to an automated manual transmission without a clutch pedal.SMG transmission is often equipped on racing cars. It is capable of producing faster shift times compared to synchronized manual transmissions. This type of transmission provideS restrictions for the driver in selecting a succeeding or previous gear in a sequential order

  • This is usually  activated by operating thru the use of AN electronic paddle shifter that is located behind the steering wheel with the aid of a sequential shifter

  • In this type of transmission, the shift lever operates a mechanism that transforms the fore-and-aft motion of the shift lever into the selector drum rotation; This consists of three up to four tracks that is  mounted on its circumference
