VIN stands for Vehicle Identification Number, a string of 17 characters that identifies a car.
Think of a VIN number as Social Security Number for cars. Each car has a unique VIN.
The easiest way to find it is to stand outside the car on the driver's side.
Look at the lower corner of the windshield.
If the VIN cannot be found there, open the driver's side door and look at the door post (where the door latches when it is closed).
VIN sticker on the door.
