Wheelbase refers to the space between the centers of the front and rear wheels. For road vehicles with more than two axles, the wheelbase is the space between the steering axle and the center point of the driving axle group. Because of the effect, the wheelbase has on the weight distribution of the vehicle, wheelbase dimensions are crucial to balance and steering.
