In this guide, you will learn how to add windshield washer fluid to Mazda5 station wagon minivan. These instructions apply to Mazda 5 manufactured from 2010 to 2018. As per the owner's manual, Mazda recommends that you use washer fluid made with antifreeze. Do not use engine coolant antifreeze to mix or make windshield washer fluid. Note that on Mazda5 both front and rear wipers use the same washer fluid reservoir.Back to top

2. What you will need
- Windshield Washer Fluid
You need windshield washer fluid. Don't use just water, especially in the winter months. When you use plain water in the winter, water will freeze. It may cause the windshield washer fluid to freeze or the lines to start leaking or cracking.
No tools are needed.
3. How to add windshield washer fluid to Mazda5
Step 1 - Open Hood
Open the hood of your Mazda5 to access the washer fluid reservoir.
Step 2 - Locate Mazda 5 Windshield Fluid Reservoir
The washer fluid reservoir on Mazda 5 is white/translucent and has a wiper symbol on top. If your Mazda5 has a rear wiper it is feed by the same reservoir according to Mazda 5 owners manual.
Step 3 - Open reservoir cap
Open the washer reservoir cap and determine the washer fluid reservoir. If the washer fluid is low, you will need to add windshield washer fluid.
Step 4 - Add windshield washer fluid
Add washer fluid until the level gets about two inches below the reservoir cap.
