What you will need
Park your Kia on a safe location and turn off the ignition.
Allow the engine to cool down. It may take over 30 min for the engine coolant to cool down.
Pull hood latch release. Locate the hood release under the dashboard on driver's side. Pull the lever until you hear the hood pop open. Next, release the hood safety latch at the front of the hood.
Locate the coolant reservoir (tank) in the engine bay on passenger's side of the engine.
Determine Current Coolant Level. Look at the coolant reservoir tank and note the low and high level. If the level is below the minimum mark you will need to add coolant.
Remove cap to add coolant. If the fluid level is low we need to remove the cap to add more coolant.
Add coolant. Adding engine coolant is very easy and straightforward process.
Allow the engine to cool down then follow this procedure.
