Chevy Backup Reverse Camera Guidelines On / Off

In this guide, you will find instructions on how to display the navigation backup camera guidelines on Chevrolet vehicles.

Procedure

  1. Press Settings on the screen.
  2. Press Rear Camera.
  3. It will display Guidance Lines
  4. Select ON if you want to turn them on.
  5. If you see the Rear Park Assist icon, select Off or On.

Use your backup camera lines as a helpful guide when parking. The lines on your backup camera can help you parallel park, gauge distance, or just attach a trailer.

This feature applies to newer Chevy vehicles such as Spark, Sonic, Bolt, Volt, Cruze, Malibu, Impala, Camaro, and Corvette.

My Chevy doesn't Show Guide Lines when Parking.

The guidance lines may have been turned off. Try pressing the on/off button while in reverse.

My reverse guidelines are turned on, but they are reversed. When I turn the steering wheel to back up to the left rear, the display shows erroneously that I would back up to the right rear. And vice versa. They are left-right mirror flipped from where they should be. I can't find a control that says to reflect them in the opposite direction. But I can't imagine anyone ever configuring them to the opposite... there's only one right direction when you turn the steering wheel. Anybody have a clue as to how I fix that? (Besides going to a dealer... that's an absolute last resort in my case.) Thanks, -=- Mike
