Lower Ball Joint Replacement Kia Instructions
Step 1: Raise vehicle
Make sure to place vehicle in Park and engage the parking brakes. Jack up your vehicle and place jack stands under the car. Next, remove the front wheel.
Step 2: Remove 3-bolts
Remove the bolts that hold the lower ball joint in place.
Step 3: Remove nut and bolt
Remove bolt by the knuckle. This will allow you to lower the ball joint.
Step 4: Replace ball joint
Remove the old ball joint. You may need to use a fork in order to separate your old ball joint from the knuckle. Install in reverse order and tighten the bolts according to specifications.
An alignment is recommended after ball joints are replaced to ensure good tire wear.
