
How to Replace Lexus Key Fob Battery

Press and hold buttons 1 and 3 for 15 seconds on HomeLink. Homelink buttons are on the rearview mirror or just above it.
Next, press and hold button 1 on the HomeLink and at the same time press the button on your handheld garage door opener. Keep both pressed for about 8 seconds. The HomeLink LED light should start flashing rapidly.
Once you see the flashing light go to your garage door motor, you will find the garage door motor mounted on the ceiling of your garage. Locate the LEARN button on the back of the garage door motor and press it once. Do not keep it pressed.
Quickly go back to the car and press button 1 on HomeLink a few times until the garage door starts to operate. The last step can not take more than 30 seconds. Each press needs to be two seconds long.

If you are not able to program your Lexus garage door opener, repeat all of the steps. Steps 5 and 6 should be completed within 30 seconds. In step 6, keep button 1 on HomeLink pressed instead of pressing the button several times.
