Volkswagen Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is stamped in a number of locations all over the vehicle. The easiest way to find VW VIN is to look at the left lower corner of the windshield, see picture below. Other locations where you will find VW VIN number include driver's door frame, engine bay, near strut tower or fender, firewall, trunk floor, and license plate.
You can also retrieve a VW VIN number from the engine control module and instrument cluster using a Volkswagen scanner.
