What you will need

Procedure

  1. Lower the seats down and move them back.
  2. Remove the panels on the sides of the center console. You can see that the covers have no screws, so you will stick your fingers in and pull it to unlock the clips; then, to finally remove it, just pull it backward. Remove both covers. Removing the cover beside the gear shifter.
  3. Remove the center control trim. To remove it, you need to remove the 6 T-20 Torx screws on both sides. You will find the screws holding the center control trim below it when you remove the side covers. Before you pull the center control trim, open up your armrest first. Then you can already pull the center control trim; when pulling, make sure that you also remove the cables connected below it and set it aside when you're done removing it from the vehicle.Removing the center control trim of the Mercedes Benz S Class.
