I have pulled the following code on my 2007 CL600:

2767 Component Y3/6n3( speed sensor ) is faulty. DTC Status: Stored.

Please can anyone tell me what this means. Thank you

Y3/6n3  Speed sensor is mounted on the valve body. They go bad because the conductor plate tends to fail.

If your 13 pin connector has been replaced the next thing would be to change the conductor plate.

The good news is that on the 5 speed transmission it doesn't need any programing.

You can buy the conductor plate from the dealer or online. They are quite cheap for that transmission. Here are some examples: 722.6 Condutor Plate

There is one more thing that you need to keep in mind. If there was excessive leak at the 13 pin connector, the oil may have made it up to the Transmission Control Unit TCU in the engine bay via capillary effect.

With that said it is worth checking there is no oil at the TCU.

Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate your help! I will be looking at getting the conductor plate replaced but I’m not going to try and do it myself as it looks quite difficult for someone like me.

Regarding the transmission fluid - there was no leak at the 13 pin connector before I replaced it. However on removing it ( the original one) I did get quite a lot of transmission fluid come out - about a litre and a half. I think this is because to raise the car to do this job, I drove the front wheels onto ramps which means the front of the car was raised whilst the rear was not - your thoughts please.

Finally how do I check there is no oil in the TCU?

Many thanks

Also do you recommend that I use only a genuine Mercedes conductor plate? Thanks
