Hi Guys! Im Joseph from the Philippines. I hope someone in the community can help me on how to replace motor mounts for my 2009 BMW 740li. First I don't have a car lift. But I do have 5 ton and 2 ton car jack. I would also appreciate it if anyone can give me the video link. I tried google search but I only found motor mount replacement procedures for e39, e60, e90

Hello!

I suppose this is 240kW 6 cylinder turbocharged engine (N54)?

In addition to car jacks, you will need two jack stands. Always rest the car on jackstands when working under it.

You will need to remove plastic engine undertray, and wheel arc covers.

Support the engine from the bottom side with a jack.

Working from the top of the engine bay, remove engine support arm.

Working from the underneath, remove the engine mount. It is held in place with 3 bolts.

Refiting is in reverse order.

If you have a car jack, that should be enough.

You need to loosen your bolts on the wheel

Use a jack to lift the car up and unbolt the wheel

Take out the wheel and you will be able to see the wheel mount.

Now carefully remove these and put the type back on

Hey friend

To be honest, changing mounts is not that different from one car to another. If you know the basics and found a video of e39, e60, e90

It should be enough. You also said you have a jack. I'd suggest you start working! It will be okay
