My 2013 Elantra glove box does not open even though I am able to press the door open switch properly. However, I guess that the switch does not return perfectly; and please see a picture of the glove box.

2013 Elantra glove box unopened

I tried to open with a minus driver putting into the gap but it did not wok unfortunately.

I would appreciate if you let me know how to open or repair the glove box.

Okay so first thing's first, the only project with the glove box is the opening jack (button).

If you are unable to open it right now, I would suggest you do not try it again and again as it might break. Look at below the glove box compartment, just put your hand underneath. You might be able to go to the back side of the glovebox and try to move the levers you feel there. Instead of opening it with the button in the front, try the one at the back.

In many cars, removing it is the only way to reach the air filter hence, it is usually easy to open
