My question is in 2019 Rav4 Hybrid model, rear is totally disconnected from the front and if you don't have enough charge in the battery (or after travel off-road for a while until battery is drained) then it will become FWD, will this be a real big problem in snow, I know if you really want to go off-road it's better to get Adventure, however I have this question as there is a time hybrid AWD will be no more AWD. ? And how does the battery providing power to rear will get recharged ?

Fwd is not ideal but you should be ok unless you go offrod a lot. Driving on paved roads you will be ok.

The battery will still be charging when you apply the brakes.

Could you explain how the battery is charged ? Does it only get charged through brakes or there are other sources of its charging ?
