I have a Becker Map pilot, Model no M013 purchased almost exactly 1 year ago. Several weeks ago the display got fixed into Night (dark) mode even in the the "bright day" setting.  Using the  latest content manager i have checked and rechecked/synchronized  the data and software and each time no faults are found. The Map pilot has now also lost all functionality, i.e. only the "dark" moving map is displayed. It now will not  enable functionality i.e. access into any settings/navigation pages at all. The same controls still work fine for all other media on the audio 20 head. Also I have tried pressing the reset button on the map pilot, none of this works. i have also just updated the map data from 2018 to 2019 (in case there was a undetected corruption) and that has not worked either. The latest Becker Contents Manager app also  did not identify any corrupt data. i seem to have exhausted the software repair/reset options for the map pilot. Is there anything else i should try or if it is a hardware issue can anyone suggest a repair center, please advise.


I would pull the fuse for the head unit for a day. That should reset your HU and audio system.
