Overtightened my lug nut and snapped the stud... How do I replace the stud and how safe is it to drive on only 4 studs?

Comments

You can replace the broken stud but you will have to access the back of the wheel hub. On some cars the wheel hub needs to come off on others it doesn't. Not sure on the CR-V.

While your wheel is not going to fall off, it is not recommended to drive on 4 studs if your car has the 5 stud design. Get it fixed ASAP.
