Hello Everyone,

When i passed the MOT, they told me that my clockspring was broken. Before that only my horn was broken but when i got my car back from the garage the airbag signal was on. They broke the clockspring so i need to change it.

I spoke to few garage and they all told me that i need to change it from Vauxhall as they need a security code to fix it. It that true?

Can we drive few months with a broken clockspring?

You can buy a second hand coilspring, from breakers or ebay.

But you will need airbag warning reseted with GM scantool. This can be done by a dealer, or any indy garage or individual who has it.
