When I slow down typically from 60mph I get a very discomforting shaking in the steering wheel. What could this be?

if your steering wheel shakes at a certain speed, not while you are applying brakes, the most likely cause is the balancing issue on the front tires. if your steering wheel shakes as you are slowing down, the most likely cause are the front rotors. You need to cut or replace them. This typically happens after your replace the front brake pads but never replaced or cut the front rotors.

Great explanation. Most likely the rotors on the dodge, they always warp.
