Hi i just bought a S280 W220 Year made 2003. The fuel consumption is very high. 40L/100KM. Can someone advise me what is the problem or what to do.

You must have a fuel leak somewhere. If you let the car idle for a while do you smell any fuel?

No fuel smell. Could it be the Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor is faulty

I would check the timing. Also another possibility is catalytic converters that are restricting the exhaust gases. Also jack up the car and make sure you don't have any wheels where the brake caliper is not releasing.
