I went to start my car today and I turned the key but it wouldn't go further than accessory.  It was fine the day before.  What could be the problem?  It is a 1997 Toyota Camry XLE 6cyl.  I thought maybe my key may be worn out since it's the original key from 1997 but I'm not sure.  What can I try?

I did try that over and over and......Lol

I bought some graphite just now.  Gonna try it and see if it works.

Thanks for your reply.

Sounds like a bad key tumbler. Any local locksmith can rebuild it for a lot cheaper than replacing it.

I don't really have any extra money to spend right now.  So bought some graphite.  See if that works.

Thanks for your reply.
