Hello, are the air-con compressors interchangeable on the CLK W209/C209 model cars?

I'm not sure how to identify mine, short of removing it. I'd rather give the correct one to the shop for fitting.

It depends on the engine used on yours and the donor car. What you really need is the part number. It is printed on all the parts. You can see it without removing the compressor but will have to jack up the car. 

Another option is to call the dealer with your vin number and ask for a quote / part number.
