Would like to find out how to reset my Mercedes W210 SRS light. What would it cause?.

I Thinking to buy a diagnostic tool . But dont know that would help and also dont know which Diagnostic tool capable for my car.

Many thanks

Why do you want to reset it though? Was it blinking before? An SRS light is an indication that there is a problem with your airbags. If you have solved this issue and the light is still not going off, I would suggest you visit a professional, since this is a sensitive issue related to safety and you should not take chances.

However, if the SRS light is on and you have only started to solve this problem, I would suggest to first check the fuse of the SRS unit. It's best to start from the simplest issues as these are pretty common.

Do let me know if you have done this. I'd like to help you further

You need a scanner that can access the SRS module via the 38 pin connector under the hood. You can use MB Star diagnostic if you can get a hold of one. Or the cheapest options would be to buy Carsoft 7.4 Multiplexer. That scanner is capable of erasing the airbag light on your W210. As long as the codes are STORED status. If you have present codes, you won't be able to reset the SRS light.
