Hi

am having to replace the rear shock absorbers on my E320cdi which has airmatic suspension, I believe the estate cars have different shock absorber to the saloon, I have been trying to locate a source online but can only come up with the saloon shocks, To be clear the suspension has a separate shock absorber to the suspension unit. I was wondering if anyone has done one and if the units are different and what the part number is and what they used to take the head nut off the top which is a circular nut about 4.5cm wide with notches on the edge.

Very many thanks for any help / guidance offered

I think this is what you are needing

It is for vehicles with standard chassis, for vehicles with sports suspension, for vehicles with off-road suspension.

Thanks again, but that doesnt look right, though there is no picture on ebay listing, The part looks like this one:https://www.eurocarparts.com/search/626222265?type=shopping&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6sPfhfbb3gIVarXtCh2GuQ35EAYYBCABEgLovPD_BwE,

though that doesnt have the sealed corrugated rubber covering the shaft into the unit,

There are two rear shocks for that car even on airmatic models. There is with and without ADS. Do you know if yours has ADS? Check yours. It is item 50 in this diagram.
