does anyone have any experience removing the headnut from the top of the shock absorber, it is different on the estate from the saloon, being a round disc with 4 notches around the edge, it is difficult to get at being set in a dip.

Hi thanks for trying to help but have managed to sort out now with a set of molegrips and a sockets with allen key end to turn the centre thread, i been wondering if there was a special tool, but thankfully this way has save me the cost,  The cost of replacing the shocks was frightening enough. Thanks
