I replaced the battery in my car after it had been sitting for quite some time. Before the battery was replaced my windows would not go down, sunroof would not work and central locking system not working.  After replacing the battery now I can't get the alarm to stop going off when starting the car. the car will run with the alarm going off. Any suggestions on what the problem could be.

You may have a bad sam module. The reason why I say that, is because if the alarm it going off, the car should not start. That is if the system operated as it should.

Since the car starts, as a temporary solution disconnect the alarm siren. You at least can drive the car to the shop.

What you will need to do is scan the car with a Mercedes Scanner. It will need to scanned via the 38 pin port under the hood not the OBD2 port under the dashboard.

Let us know when you scan it and what codes you get. Or if you find another solution.
