W212 facelift E300 hybrid, the car stops working when switching from running in engine mode to electric mode.

The service centers said a starting motor needs to be replaced, but I don’t think the problem caused by the starting motor since it ignites the engine and the car operate smoothly when running in fuel engine mode apart from when switching to electric mode, then the car stops working and needs to restart again.

What do you think the cause of this problem is and solutions of this please?

There are over 10 conditions that need to be meet for the car to operate in electric mode. If one of them is not, the car won't operate.

My recommandation would be to do a full system scan with Star Diagnostics and see what codes come up. Then you can go from there.
