I am looking for a scanner for my 2017 Sprinter that will allow me to program for modules like the Mid City Engineering Sprinter Smart Idle (https://www.midcityengineering.com/product/sprinter-smart-idle/) which says it needs the following steps

1. With SDS  - Select Control Unit "Combustion Engine OM 651" 2. Select "Control Unit Adaptations" 3. Select "Coding" 4. Select "SCN Coding" 5. Run the Procedure 6. After the Procedure is finished Select "Display Coding Data" 7. For Verification of Completion  - Under "Working Speed Control" it should read "Active"

Will the Autel DS708 or DS808 perform those steps or is some other scanner required?

I have used Autel DS708 It allows you to perform some coding and programing. Nothing comes close to Star Diagnostics scanner though. As far as the scanner you mention, I have not used it so can't really compare it to the others.
