My ML320 broke down and wont start. Apparently an injector hasnt been working properly and it has created more problems in the engine. At the garage they tried first the battery and it wasnt the problem after that they tried the starter and they said it wasnt the problem after that they tried to move the camshaft manually and they couldnt. They said this is a bad thing because it didnt move clockwise though a little anticlockways.
I asked for the scaner but the mechanic said as its impossible to start the engine its impossible to use the scanner.
Please i need advice; i cant pay the official mercedes garage; at least i want to have an idea what should i be facing.
Looking forward for your advice asap.

The scanner should read codes if you turn the ignition on, but it is not going to help much in this case. It sounds like the engine has seized up which is a bad thing. Considering the age of the car it may not be worth to fix it. Or if you plan on keeping it, you may want to consider installing a used engine in it. It is very uncommon for these engines to sieze but if the engine was overheating or had no oil, it can happened.

Thank you very much for your reply. I really appreciate it.
I deeply hope you are wrong, though i have the same feeling in my gut. I will know tomorrow as im buying new injectors tomorrow. If i doesnt start i will be in big trouble.
Still waiting for a miracle to happen.

The problem is that if they couldn't turn the crankshaft (engine) manually new injectors aren't going to help.

Hey I hope I am wrong too. Maybe there is some info I am missing. Hope never dies!

Would like to know how this turns out.
