Hi,

I have a W203 - 2003 C200 Kompressor.

After some heavy rain my SRS Light came on. This is followed by a Restraint System Service.

If I unlatch my Seatbelt the Buzzer Stops and the SRS Light goes off but the Seat Belt Light remains. If I latch the Seat Belt the Seat Belt Light goes off and often the Buzzer does not sound but the SRS Message appears.

Does anyone have any clues.?

Thanks

The seat belt latch has a sensor in it and that can go bad. Try pressing it a few times to see if that helps.

If that doesn't help at all, then you need to read the codes with a Mercedes scanner. Let us know what codes come up.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice I'll do the "Pressing a few times first" - Silly question perhaps - But where do I find the Latch? Is this the item thatyou press one end in to another? If so, I have tried to do that. Thanks

When you mention this happened after a rain, is it crazy to believe that somehow, the water damaged something?

Just a thought here. Also, have you ever fixed your car before? if you have not, it's not always recommended to try something like this yourself. You have a nice car :)
