Hello. I was hoping I could get some direction. I have a 1999 Mercedes CLK430. I’ve been monitoring an oil leak. It originates from the timing cover plug. Can someone tell me how to install a new plug? Thanks in advance.

I think what you are talking about is not the timing cover plug but the oil pressure port. Those cars are known to leak from that port. Replacing the port is easy as it only has two bolts. Don't remove the center bolt / cap where the oil pressure tools connects. You may need to remove the serpentine belt to get to the bottom bolt, can't remember for sure. Make sure you install a new gasket. Shouldn't cost much at the dealer.
