I have recently purchased a
2013 Mercedes-benz C Class 250 Amg Sport Blueefficiency Cdi, 2143CC Diesel, 4DR, Auto
When I press the voice control button on my steering wheel, the main console screen navigates to my navi screen and inform me that I don’t have a navigation system installed.
Is this a setting change that I need to administer to get the button to point to a voice control system or does voice control only work with a navigation system installed?
I wanted to use it for voice soaking in my phone.

The voice control button is for giving certain voice commands to your car. Primarly the navigration.

Do you have the phone paired with the car at all?

You can check with the deaer to see if there is an upgarde for your COMAND that will allow you to control the phone with that button. I know the newer models that have carplay or android auto can use such a feature but not the older models.
