  1. Allow the engine to cool down. 
  2. Open the hood.Hood release of 2016-2020 Kia Optima.Pull the hood release under the dashboard and go to the front of the vehicle.Unlock the hood latch and pull the hood up.Opening the hood of the 2016-2020 Kia Optima.

     

  3. Locate the mass airflow sensor on the right side of the cold air intake ports and under the throttle body.The location of the mass air flow of the 2016-2020 Kia Optima.

     

  4. Disconnect the electrical connector on the mass airflow sensor by pushing the clip and pulling it out.The electrical connector on the mass airflow sensor.

     

  5. Loosen the 8mm bolt on the mass airflow sensor and pull out the mass airflow sensor.
  6. Get the new mass airflow sensor and insert it into the vehicle, then reinstall the 8mm bolt and reconnect the electrical connector.Installing the new mass air flow to the 2016-2020 Kia Optima.
