Fuse Location
Fuses are located behind the glove box on the dashboard. To access the fuses on a BMW 3-series, open the passenger door.
Open the glove box. You will see two plastic round screws. Turn them counterclockwise to unlock them. This will allow you to remove the panel.
Behind the glove box, you will see the fuses and relays for your BMW. It is difficult to reach back to the fuse panel. Use a fuse puller to remove the fuses.
BMW 3 Series Fuse Chart and Layout
Below is a reference table that shows the fuse designation for BMW 3-Series.
The exact fuse chart in your BMW 3-Series may be different. The fuse chart could change between production years and different trims.
The fuses that you have in your car depend on the options that are installed on your BMW. Check the owner's manual or the fuse layout on your BMW 3-Series. The specific fuse list will be printed either on the back of the fuse cover or a piece of paper placed in the fuse box.

Notes
- Always replace a blown fuse with a new fuse with the same rating. If the new fuse blows again, there is an electrical problem, typically a short. Do not install a higher-rated fuse.
- Installing a fuse with an ampere rating higher than recommended causes damage and possibly even causes fires if there is a short.
- Remember to turn the ignition OFF when pulling and replacing fuses and relays.
