2013–2019 Nissan Sentra Upstream/Upper O2 Sensor Replacement

What you will need

• Nissan Sentra Oxygen Sensor
• Mechanic Metric Toolset
  • 22mm O2 Socket

Procedure

1. Open the hood. Pull the hood release under the dashboard and unlock the hood latch, then pull the hood up and secure it open using the hood support.

    

    

   
2. Remove the engine cover by pulling it up and out of the vehicle.

    

   
3. Locate the O2 sensor on the back of the engine near the firewall.

    

4. Disconnect the electrical connector of the O2 sensor by pressing the clip and pulling the connector out.

    

    

5. Loosen and remove the O2 sensor by using a 22mm O2 socket.

    

   
6. Line up the new O2 sensor and tighten it using the O2 socket. 

    

7. Connect the electrical connector of the O2 sensor by pushing it into its connection port.

    

8. Line up the engine cover back to the vehicle and press it in to set it into place.
