Ford Focus 2.0 Spark Plug & Ignition Coil Replacement

What you will need

Parts

• Ford focus sparkplugs

Tools

• Small flat-head screwdriver
• 10 mm socket
• Ratchet or power tool
• Sparkplug socket

Procedure

1. Put the vehicle in park.
2. Wait for the engine to cool down.
3. Open the hood.
4. Remove ignition coil electrical connectors by using a small screwdriver to unlock the connectors.
5. Loosen and remove 10 mm bolts that hold ignition coils in place.
6. Pull out the ignition coils.
7. Remove the spark plugs using a spark plug socket.
8. Install and tighten the new spark plugs using a sparkplug socket.
9. Reinstall the ignition coils.
10. Install and fasten 10mm coil retaining bolts.
11. Reconnect electrical connectors.

• Spark Plugs: 11 ft/lbs
