Changing the cabin air filter on a Hyundai Elantra is very easy and takes about fifteen minutes. The cabin air filter is installed behind the glove box.

Open the front passenger side door.

Open the glove box and remove your personal items and the owner's manual.

Remove glove box stoppers. On the side of the glove box, you will notice two round buttons. These are the glove door stoppers that need to be removed. Turn them counterclockwise to remove them.

Access the cabin air filter. Remove the black plastic cover at the back of the glove box.
- Locate the cabin air filter access door inside the glove box. Remove the cabin air filter.

Install a new cabin air filter.
- Before installation, inspects for leaves and remove if present. Check the glove box access door. Install the new cabin air filter, and don't forget to install the stoppers.
