What you will need

  3. Open the hood. Locate the hood release underneath the dash. Pull the lever until you hear the hood pop open. Next, you need to release the hood safety latch at the front of the hood.

  5. Connect the other red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the car with a good battery.  Connect the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the car with a good battery. jump start dead battery


  6. Lastly, connect the other black clamps to a strut tower bolt, ground point, or engine block of the car with a dead battery. 
  7. Start the car with a good battery and let it idle. 
  8. Start the engine. If this message displays, the vehicle turns off some features such as heated seats and power features to allow the battery to charge.

Low Battery

A low battery warning may display on the instrument cluster when you first start the car.
