Guide on how to fix a defective sensor causing two faulty codes P0107 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Low and P0113 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High. These procedures are applicable for Kia and Hyundai vehicles.

What you will need
- Air Intake Temperature Sensor
- Mechanic Metric Toolset
- 10mm Socket
- Ratchet wrench
- OBD-II Scanner
Procedure
- Connect the OBD-II Scanner into the OBD-II port located below the dashboard.
- Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to the accessories ON position.
- Go to the diagnostic menu on the scanner.
- Select read codes and check the stored codes.
- The scanner will show faulty code P0107 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Low and P0113 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High.
- Open the hood. Pull the hood release under the dashboard and unlock the hood latch on the vehicle's front. Then pull the hood up and secure it open.
- Locate the intake air temperature sensor on the right side of the engine's intake manifold.
- Disconnect the electrical connector of the air temperature sensor by pressing the clip and pulling the connector out.
- Remove the 10mm bolt on the sensor by turning it counterclockwise using a 10mm socket.
- Pull the sensor out from the vehicle.
- Line up the new intake air temperature sensor and press it in to set it into place.
- Reinstall the 10mm bolt and reconnect the electrical connector of the intake air temperature sensor.
- Go back inside the vehicle and erase the stored codes on the scanner.
- Reconnect the OBD-II scanner and clear the fault codes.
