This tutorial will teach how to replace the oxygen sensor (O2) on a Kia Optima. This guide provides instructions on how to replace both the upstream (Bank 1 Sensor 1) and downstream (Bank 1 Sensor 2). 

What you will need

Procedure

  2. Locate the O2 sensor (Bank 1 Sensor 1) at the top of the exhaust manifold.The O2 sensor on the top.

It is not necessary to replace both oxygen sensors at the same time. While replacing both sensors at the same time is recommended, replacing only the faulty O2 sensor is acceptable.
