This guide provides instructions on how to replace the engine air filter on 6 and 8 cylinder Mercedes-Benz engine used on C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, ML-Class, G-Class, R-Class, CLS-Class, SLK-Class from 1998 to 2007. All trims including 240, 320, 430, 500, 55AMG, 600.

What you will need
Procedure
- Park the Mercedes on level ground and set parking brakes.
- Remove the air intake duct that goes to the engine cover.
- Lift engine cover.
- Flip engine cover upside down.
- Remove four (for each filter) T25 Torx bolts.
- Remove the old engine air filter.
- Install the new one.
- Reinstall the plastic housing.
- Replace the second air filter following the same procedure.
This video shows how to replace engine air filters on Mercedes-Benz M112 and M113 engines. These V6 and V8 cylinder engines are found on many models, including C, E, S, CLK, SLK, ML, G from 1998 to 2007.
