Step-by-step procedure on how to shift gears when the vehicle is stuck and you can't move gear shifter. The vehicle can roll if the parking brake is not engaged.

This procedure can be used if the vehicle is dead or need to be towed or loaded on a tow truck. Please note that the vehicle will roll if parked on an incle.
What you will need
Procedure
- Unlock the vehicle and go to the driver's seat.
- Set the parking brake.
- Pop the cover of the release button above the P symbol on the gear shifter using a prying tool.
- Insert the screwdriver into the hole and push the screwdriver down to release the gear shift.
- Move the gear shifter while pushing the screwdriver down.
Keep the brake pedal pressed so that the vehicle doesn't roll away and cause an accident.
