You will always find your BMW VIN on the driver-side front door jamb or the windshield's lower-left corner. You will also find your BMW VIN on your car registration, insurance card, and title. BMW Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is a unique code used by BMW to identify each car sold.
Every BMW will have the VIN in at least two of the following locations.
- Driver's Side Dashboard. You can usually locate the VIN by looking through the windshield of your car.
- Driver's Side Doorjamb.
- Under the Hood.
- Driver's Side Quarter Panel.
- Vehicle's Title Record.
- Vehicle's Insurance Card.

Open the driver's door and locate the sticker on the door jamb. Here you will find the VIN of your BMW. This sticker also shows the month and year the BMW was manufactured, model, and even paint code.

BMW is known to stamp the VIN by the strut tower on the driver or passenger side.

The VIN of the BMW, in some cases, can also be displayed on the instrument cluster. The instructions vary between BMW models, and not all models can show the VIN.
Title or Registration
If you have any official paperwork for your BMW, it will have the VIN printed on it. Your BMW title or registration will have the VIN printed on top.
