To change the low beam light bulb on your Hyundai Elantra we first need to open the hood. Pull on the hood release located on the left side of the dashboard. You should be able to hear the hood of your Hyundai Elantra pop up. Next, press the hood latch release. If you can't see it, use a flashlight. You will need to press it to your left. Remove light bulb
Twist the cap that's behind the headlight and twist it counter-clockwise. Once you remove the cap you will be able to see the light bulb. Next, press on the two tabs of the electrical plug and pull it away from the socket. Twist the light bulb and remove it from the headlight socket. Install new light bulb
The last step is to install the new light bulb the Hyundai headlight. Make sure that the rubber gasket on the cap is still there and seals the headlight properly. Otherwise you may have issues with water and condensation forming inside the headlight.
Do not use extreme force to remove light bulb as the glass may break and cause injuries.
Follow vehicle recommendations on the type of light bulb and wattage to use.
Use gloves when handling light bulbs. Oil from our hands can be transferred to bulb surfaces.
Carefully dispose old light bulbs. It is recommended to wrap them first in thick paper to prevent injury or cuts in case the glass breaks
