What you will need
Procedure
- Open the hood. Pull the hood release under the dashboard and go in front of the vehicle. Then unlock the hood latch and pull it up until it reaches the maximum to lock in the hydraulic hood strut.
- Locate the side marker socket on the back of the headlamp assembly lens & housing.
- Twist the socket counterclockwise to unlock it from the headlight and remove it from the headlight.
- Pull the bulb out from the socket.
- Push the new light bulb into the socket.
You will hear the light bulb snap once it is locked in.
- Insert the socket back to the headlight and turn it clockwise to lock in its place.
- Check on the light by turning the side marker clearance light on.
Notes
- Do not touch light bulbs with bare hands as that can shorten the life of the light bulb.
- Installing LED bulbs:
- If you are upgrading to LED light bulbs, and the bulb doesn't turn on when you install it simply remove the LED bulb and rotate it 180 degrees and reinstall it.
- Certain vehicles may trigger a fault message stating faulty or burned light bulb when the original bulb has been upgraded to LED. If that is the case, use halogen bulb or get an Error Free LED bulb.
