2018➕ Kia Forte Door Window Replacement

What you will need

• Kia Forte Door Window
• Mechanic Metric Toolset
  • 10mm Socket
  • 3/8" ratchet wrench

Procedure

1. Adjust the window 6 inches high. This procedure will help you to remove the bolts that attach the glass to the window regulator.

    

2. Remove the door panel. If you need help with this step, follow these procedures for removing the door panel.

    

3. Remove the rubber covers on the inner door panel by pulling them out.

    

4. Loosen the left 10mm bolt holding the window. Turn the bolt counterclockwise using a 10mm socket to loosen the bolt.

    

5. Remove the right 10mm bolt holding the window by turning it counterclockwise using a 10mm socket and ratchet. 

    

6. Pull the window up and bring it to an angle to where it can be removed from the door.

    

   
7. Slide the new window into the door. Then turn it into its proper position and push it down to set it into place.

    

   
8. Reinstall the right 10mm bolt holding the window by turning it clockwise using a 10mm socket.

    

9. Tighten the left 10mm bolt holding the window. Turn the bolt clockwise using a 10mm socket to tighten the bolt.

    

10. Line up the rubber covers back to the inner door panel and press them in to set them into place.

     

    
11. Reinstall the door panel. If you need help with this step, follow these procedures for installing the door panel.
